DARK WOODS
a novel in progress
DARK WOODS tells the story of a man's attempt to rebound from disastrous losses by driving across country in pursuit of his runaway son. When Will Cunningham's wife dies in a plane crash, he sets out to find Taylor, a troubled but prodigiously talented teenage musician who has been gone for over a year.
It is the spring of 2003, and the country is awash in feelings—loss, grief, and anger—similar to Will's. As the U.S. government prepares to invade Iraq as part of its "war on terror," Will's travels carry him ever deeper into fears of his own.
